The DOT Setting feature allows users to define departmental objectives and performance targets that align with the company-wide goals set during the COT Settings process. This promotes consistency in performance planning and strategic alignment across all departments.
- Access the Request Form
Navigate to: Workflow → New Request → DOT Setting - Select Year, Company, and Department
- Select the Year from the dropdown list.
- Choose the relevant Company (only companies with completed COT Settings will be listed).
- Select the appropriate Department.
- Submit the Request
Click Submit to initiate the DOT Setting workflow.
Note:
Previously initiated combinations of Year, Process Number, and Department, along with their Status, will be listed in the Initiated List. Duplicate entries for the same combination are not permitted.
Managing Objectives in DOT Settings
Once the DOT Setting task is initiated, users can define department-level objectives that align with the company’s strategic goals.
- View COT Objectives
Click the COT Objective button to view company-level objectives related to the selected year and company.
This step ensures alignment between department and organizational goals. - Set Department Objectives
Click the Set Objective button to begin entering department-specific objectives. - Enter Objective Details
For each department objective, provide the following:- Description: A clear and specific statement of the objective.
- Status: Select the current status (e.g., Planned, In Progress).
- Target Time: Specify the expected completion date or timeframe.
- Weightage: Assign a percentage to reflect the objective's importance.
- Attachment (Optional): Upload supporting documents or references.
- Save and Submit
- Click Save to record each objective.
- After reviewing all entries, click Submit to complete the task and finalize the DOT Setting process.
Review and Approval Process
After submission:
- The task will be routed to the designated reviewer or approver based on the workflow.
- The submitted objectives should be reviewed for strategic alignment and completeness.
- Once approved, the department’s objectives become part of the organizational performance tracking framework.
