How is a Performance Appraisal request submitted through the workflow? RP-30400

Workflows  

The Performance Appraisal workflow facilitates the structured evaluation of employee performance. It involves self-assessment by employees, evaluations by their reporting managers (IS – Immediate Supervisor), and multi-level reviews, including future development and employment planning. This workflow ensures objective performance measurement and alignment with organizational goals.

  1. Access the Request Form
    Navigate to: Workflow → New Request → Performance Appraisal
  2. Select Required Parameters
    Choose the relevant:
    • Year
    • Company
    • Department
  3. Select Employee
    A list of employees who have completed Performance Monitoring will be displayed.
    Select the appropriate Employee.
  4. Submit the Request
    Click Submit to initiate the Performance Appraisal workflow.

Performance Appraisal Submission (Employee Self-Rating)

  1. Login as the Employee
    Access the Performance Appraisal Submission task.
  2. Enter Self-Rating
    • In the Action column, click the Set/Edit Appraisal Rating icon.
    • Enter the Self-Rating based on the defined objectives and competencies.
    • Click Save to record the rating.
  3. Submit the Task
    Click Submit to complete the self-appraisal step.

Review and Approval by IS (Immediate Supervisor)

  1. Login as IS
    Access the Review and Approval task.
  2. Provide IS Evaluation
    • Click the Set/Edit Appraisal Rating icon in the Action column.
    • Complete the following sections:
      • IS Rating
      • Competency Evaluation
      • Appraisal Evaluation Summary
      • Future Development Plan
      • Future Employment Plan
      • Indicate whether a Succession Plan is required.
  3. Save and Submit
    Click Save to store the evaluation.
    Click Submit to complete the IS review.

Review and Approval – NIS (Next Immediate Supervisor)

  1. Login as HOD/NIS
    Access the NIS Review and Approval task in the workflow.
  2. Enter NIS Rating and Review
    • Click the Set/Edit icon in the Action column.
    • Provide:
      • NIS Rating
      • Appraisal Review Comments (if applicable)
  3. Save and Submit
    Click Save to record the input.
    Click Submit to finalize the NIS review.

Review and Approval – GM

  1. Login as GM
    Access the GM Review and Approval task in the workflow.
  2. Provide GM Evaluation
    • Click the Set/Edit icon in the Action column.
    • Enter the following:
      • GM Rating
      • Review Comments
  3. Save and Submit
    Click Save, then Submit to complete the GM review.

Re-review and Approval – Divisional HR

  1. Login as Divisional HR
    Access the Divisional HR Review and Approval task.
  2. View and Evaluate
    Review all appraisal content, including:
    • Employee self-rating
    • IS and NIS evaluations
    • Comments, ratings, development plans, and succession planning
  3. Approve the Appraisal
    After ensuring all details are accurate and complete, click Submit to forward the task to Corporate HR.

Final Review and Approval – Corporate HR

  1. Login as Corporate HR
    Access the Corporate HR Review and Approval task.
  2. Final Evaluation Review
    Examine all submitted information, including:
    • Ratings and comments from the Employee, IS, NIS, and Divisional HR
    • Competency evaluations, development plans, and future employment recommendations
  3. Approve and Complete the Workflow
    Click Submit to finalize the appraisal and close the performance appraisal cycle.
