How to create a new Exceptional Reason? RP-30411

The Exceptional Reasons feature allows administrators to define specific reasons for exceptions in attendance, such as official duties or personal matters. These reasons help in maintaining accurate attendance records and justifications for non-standard workdays.

1. Navigate to the Exceptional Reasons Setup

  • Go to: Attendance → Settings → Exceptional Reasons

2. Enter the Required Information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Reason Name – Enter the name of the exceptional reason (e.g., Official Meeting, Personal Emergency)
  • Reason Type – Select whether the reason is Official or Personal
  • Is Active – Indicate whether the reason is currently active (Yes/No)

3. Save the Exceptional Reason

  • Click Save to create the new exceptional reason.

The exceptional reasons created here can be used later in the Manage Exceptional Entries page to mark attendance exceptions accordingly.
