This is to set a default shift to an organization through the 'Assign Default Shift to OU' page under Attendance module:

 Attendance -> Assign Default Shift to OU

While creating new employee, the shift assigned to the organization of the new employee will be assigned by default. If no shift assigned to the selected organization then the parent organizations shift (shift of nearest parent organization) will get assigned to this employee by default.
